Display preferences

 

You can change how Tasklist displays your task list from the Tree view tab in the ribbon bar:

 

 

You can expand and collapse the entire tree view or the selected node by clicking the Expand and Collapse buttons.

 

Checking Show tree lines will show the tree lines connecting tasks to their parents.

 

You can set the due date of task by double-clicking on it to open it, and setting a due date.  Checking Color by due date will color the font of your tasks:

Tasks due within the next week will be colored green

Tasks due today will be colored orange

Overdue tasks will be colored red

Checking Hide completed tasks will hide today's completed tasks.  For more detail on completing tasks and reopening completed tasks, see the topic Complete and reopen tasks.

 

Checking Fade inactive tasks will show inactive tasks in faded font.  You can restore them to regular font by unchecking this option. Checking Hide inactive tasks will remove inactive tasks from your task list.  You can bring them back to your task list by unchecking this option.  For more detail on inactive tasks, see the topic Inactive tasks.

 

Checking Bold root tasks will show root tasks in bold font.
