Synchronizing your tasks with Microsoft To Do

If you have enabled access to your online apps, you can synchronize your Tasklist tasks with your To Do tasks.

If you change any of the properties of a Tasklist task that is linked to a To Do task, Tasklist will automatically update the properties of the To Do task to match the Tasklist task.

If you delete a Tasklist task that is linked to a To Do task, Tasklist will delete the linked To Do task.

If you go online and add a To Do task, or change the properties of a To Do task that is linked to a Tasklist task, Tasklist does not automatically update your Tasklist list, because To Do does not tell Tasklist when a To Do task is added or changed.  However, Tasklist can synchronize your task list with your To Do list:

Tasklist synchronizes with To Do on startup.  If you don't want it to do this, click the Preferences button in the To Do tab on the ribbon:

and uncheck the Synchronize on startup checkbox:

 You can synchronize you Tasklist tasks with your To Do tasks at any time by clicking on the Sync with To Do button in the Tasks tab of the ribbon:
