Avoid duplicate tasks

When you make a new task, Tasklist checks to see if you already have a task with the same name and the same parent.  If you do, it will show you a message asking if you want to make a duplicate task.  You can make another task of the same name, or you can work with the existing task.  If you don't see the existing task on your list, that is probably because it is completed.  You can find a completed task and put it back on your list of active tasks by following the instructions in the topic Complete and reopen tasks.
